Preston Miller
Founder & Director of Training

Preston Miller began his dance training at the Chicago Academy for the Arts before earning a dual BFA in Performance and Choreography from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program. As a coach, choreographer, and director, he has worked with some of the most celebrated artists and organizations in the world, including Alvin Ailey, Dutch National Ballet, and Netherlands Dance Theatre.
Renowned for his deep respect for the craft and his belief in dance as a superhuman pursuit of physical and emotional mastery, Preston has spent the last two decades developing dance artists at the highest level. His philosophy centers on the idea that dancers are performers of the human experience, responsible for bringing awareness and artistry to the world. He approaches training with both technical rigor and a commitment to mentorship, ensuring his dancers are prepared not only for the studio but for college, company life, and the professional dance industry.

In 2020, Preston founded The Dance Artist Prep (TDA Prep) with the vision of setting a new gold standard for dance education. With a focus on high-level training, career guidance, and industry access, TDA Prep has become a launchpad for dancers who seek not only to excel in their craft but to become powerfully impactful artists in the dance world and beyond.
